Most people don't need AI to make them more confident — they need AI to help them ask better questions, find stronger sources, compare evidence, and slow down before acting on a bad answer. The rule: AI can help you research, but AI is not automatically the source of truth.
That distinction matters because AI sounds confident when it's wrong. The system works across ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, plus the unglamorous sources that actually settle questions — official docs, reports, customer interviews, your own notes.
2. The research system
Bad AI research starts with "what's the best X?" Good research starts by defining the decision the research serves. From there: build source ladders (which sources outrank which), track evidence as you go, and write down your uncertainty instead of hiding it — what you know, what you're assuming, what would change your mind.
3. Verify, then act
Claims that drive real decisions get verified against primary sources before you move. The guide closes the loop by turning research into action: a clear recommendation, the evidence behind it, and the risks you accepted — so the work ends in a decision, not a pile of tabs.
